The Listies Make Some Noise

Meeting Rich & Matt a.k.a The Listies

The reviews began rolling in before we’d even made it out of our row… “that was so super funny” said one Mum to her friend, “omg I know, so funny” came the reply. If that doesn’t convince you to go and buy tickets NOW… then perhaps my review will…

Arguably one of the funniest kid-friendly duos we have been lucky enough to catch live (more than once - we love them that much), The Listies - otherwise known as British guy, Richard Higgins, and Aussie guy, Matt Kelly - are currently spreading their hilarity and fun from the heart of the Sydney Opera House this summer holidays.

The Melbourne-based duo are treating Sydney audiences to their latest comedic offering Make Some Noise, which serves up non-stop laughs, heaps of audience participation, and an original soundtrack that’s available to buy when the lights go down (they may just sign it too if you hang around after the show)!

On stage until Friday 20th January, I cannot urge you strongly enough to nab some tickets for this epic comedy concert and get down to the iconic pointy building pronto! I took my special needs brother and my 7 year-old son along, and they were both in fits of laughter throughout, as was I.

From an impromptu Trump impression, a cameo from a rather familiar-looking infant (wink wink), and a list of musical instruments compiled with the eager audience’s assistance; this is a show not to be missed.

I love the guys’ ability to just roll with the technical mishaps, engage with kids and ‘old people’ alike, and keep the energy going to the point that time passes so quickly that the 55 minutes is up well before you want it to be so when they suggest a quick encore, the audience is so eager, their cheering beats the noise of the ferry horn from the neighbouring harbour.
